Brazilian Soapstone 4 ½"x 6"x 2 ½" 10/20/2006
I was carving and making designs in the stone, which reminded me of a tree. This stone had many colours in it; the bright green was very difficult to carve. The swirling in the green signified the knowledge coming into the tree. I decided to carve a person under the tree gaining his knowledge from the tree.
